How to perform the Amped Extender Setup process in your Amped AC2600 Wi-Fi Extender?

Amped Extender Setup could be done either through the WPS connection method or through the Wi-Fi connection process. Most users use the WPS connection process as it is the most convenient method to get connected to the extender. The condition that applies while connecting the extender to a router with the WPS connection is that your router must have a WPS button on either the front panel or the back panel of it.

Here are the precautions that a user has to take before the Amped Extender Setup process

1. Before proceeding to the Amped Extender setup process, a user has to make sure that he is acquired with all the prerequisites that are necessary to perform the setup process such as Ethernet cable in wired connection, a power outlet, etc.
2. Avoid fixing your Amped Wi-Fi Extender in the deadline zone, as it will deliver an unstable amount of Wi-Fi signals into your router and will degrade the Internet Connectivity of your router.
3. Make sure that while using a wireless connection, your Wi-Fi extender is showing the signal strength of 4 to 5 bars as then it will be able to deliver the strong signals to your router.
4. While making a connection make sure that there are no reflecting surfaces, metallic objects, bricked walls, electronic devices near your router, and the extender as they will act as the obligations between your devices. The opaque objects between your networking devices will weaken the signals and would give you unstable signals to the extender.
5. Locate the Wireless Network credentials and note them down somewhere so that you can utilize them while performing the Amped Extender Setup process in your home network.
6. Place the Range Extender close enough to your router so that it could deliver the maximum amount of Wi-Fi signals to the router.

Steps to perform the Amped Extender Setup process through the web interface of www.setup.ampedwireless.com dashboard

1. Take the antennas and join them to their respective back panel of your Amped Range Extender.
2. Plugin the Power Cable of your Range extender to the available Power Outlet and make sure that it is receiving enough power to allow you to create the connection.
3. Turn on your desktop or the tablet, whatever device you are using. Go to the Wi-Fi list of your device and locate the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands of the Extender.
4. Click on either of the default Network names and type down the default Wi-Fi password on its respective field. You can locate the default Network name and the Wi-Fi password on the white label of your device.
5. Once you are connected go to your browser and type www.setup.ampedwirless.com dashboard on the web address of the browser. ( No Internet Connection is needed). If the web menu fails to be found, type 192.168.1.240 as the URL of the browser.
6. When the web menu appears on the screen, you will see the Dashboard of your Amped Extender that will give you the current status of your Amped Range Extender.
7. Click on the Scan button located in the center to detect your home network.
8. The device will enlist all the nearby networks in an arranged queue.
9. After selecting the home network, click on the Next tab.
10. Now, you will be prompted to enter the Network Key for the frequency bands of the Extender. If both the networks are open then keep the fields blank then click on the Next tab.
11. The Network Settings page will appear which will allow you to perform the settings on the Extended network.
12. Click on the Next tab to apply the settings whatever you applied.
13. Range Extender will now apply your settings and get automatically reboot. The process may take a few minutes.
14. After the countdown completes you need to reconnect to your computer to the new extender network. You may connect either to the 2.4 GHz frequency band or to the 5 GHz frequency band of the wireless network.

Note: During the countdown, users are advised not to leave or refresh the page as it may bring failure in the Amped Extender Setup process.
